Inside Out Contracts is a leading supplier of high quality restaurant and hotel furniture, providing cutting-edge restaurant chairs, tables, barstools and other furniture to the hospitality industry throughout Europe.
When they were planning the launch of their new flagship showroom in London they were looking for interior design styling which would reflect their furniture – contemporary and durable while maintaining a stylish aesthetic.
Lisa Cluer, Managing Director, explains “We are passionate about good design and quality construction, and our London showroom is aimed at showcasing a constantly changing range of key pieces, a place for clients to ‘try before you buy’. The setting and design of the overall space needed to reflect our style and we wanted it to be inviting, innovative and engaging for the creative interactions which take place here. Our aspiration for the overall space was an open and light showroom with a contemporary industrial edge.
“To promote openness and light flooring choice was essential. We also needed something that would work alongside the mix of materials and colours of our products, complementing and not competing with our furniture displays.”
Lisa first discovered Concreate at a visit to 100% Design, the commercial cornerstone event of the London Design Festival for industry professionals. Impressed with its stylish look and clean lines she was keen to learn more about the new and innovative pre-cast concrete panels.
“The team were immediately drawn to its ultra modern, urban look, it reflects our brand perfectly. The more practical benefits; sustainable, lightweight and easy to install and maintain were also key in our decision to go ahead with Concreate as the flooring solution in our showroom.”
The finished showroom features Concreate Dark Grey flooring throughout the whole area. The space affords a lot of natural light from its large glass frontage so the choice of the darker grey concrete panels gives contrast, warmth and balance.
Delighted with the flooring, the team also installed Concreate’s Natural Grey wall panels on the washroom cubicles.
The installation process took just eight days with a team of two fitters from London-based flooring store, The Floor Shop, which included the sub-floor preparation work and the final finishing coat of oil.
Lisa Cluer commented, “Everyone who visits the showroom agrees that the use of Concreate’s floor and wall panels fits in perfectly with the industrial feel of our showroom and the contemporary furniture that we sell. From first seeing the product at 100% Design, to the installation by the Floor Shop, and now the finished article, the whole process was faultless.”
The synergy with Concreate and Inside Out Contracts has cemented an on-going relationship with the two companies. Concreate is the flooring product of choice at many of the exhibitions where the company showcase their latest groundbreaking furniture designs, and Lisa welcomes anyone to visit their flagship showroom at 42 Creek Road, London to view Concreate first-hand.
